The title of this print comes from a journalist describing a meeting between Clark Gable and Greta Garbo. Fowler chose to bring together her “God + Goddess” Clark Gable and Marlene Dietrich in this particular, imaginary, meeting. Having collaged the two figures together she drew them in pencil and proceeded to cut around the drawing bringing the figures into relief. The play on words in the title is also present in the composition – an interplay of balance, elegance, attraction and force.
This giclée print is on heavy, fine art Hahnemühle photo-rag paper. The smooth yet slightly textured surface of this paper allows for the highest quality reproduction of the original artwork. The inks used are archival and will not fade. Our metal frames are hand-made, using modern techniques to produce clean, sharp edges. We use UV filtering acrylic to protect the prints from sunlight.
