Lucia II is the second time the artist has portrayed the Italian actress Lucia Bosè. The still is taken from Antonioni’s 1950 film Story of a Love Affair, in which the protagonist (who’s past is littered with tragedy) is married to a wealthy entrepreneur but engages in an affair with a previous lover who is a struggling car salesman. The series of drawings Not Even In My Dreams considers themes that are ever present for Fowler, images of longing, yearning, loneliness, stardom and desire. The drawing ask its’ spectator to consider the consequences of their dreams.
This giclée print is on heavy, fine art Hahnemühle photo-rag paper. The smooth yet slightly textured surface of this paper allows for the highest quality reproduction of the original artwork. The inks used are archival and will not fade. Our metal frames are hand-made, using modern techniques to produce clean, sharp edges. We use UV filtering acrylic to protect the prints from sunlight.
